in the first of what i fear will be many trips to the emergency room, g-dog got his first set of stitches. five in total to close the gash he got performing a half-gainer in the tub. just like a little man -- no tears, screaming or fussing during the procedure. not so much from mom, though.
my oldest child is now a teenager, with all of the associated angst, indignation and boy-craziness. we have moved into the time of her life where the public hugs and kisses on the forehead have given way to cell phone texting and secret notes, but regardless of her age, she will always be my little girl and i am proud of the beautiful young woman she has become. happy birthday, sadies!
